stamford bridge

Looking for the best pubs near Stamford Bridge Stadium? We’ve got you covered! Whether you’re a home or away supporter, this list has a spot for you.

Visiting Chelsea Football Club can be stressful, as with every other London Premier League team, the city is chaotic and can be confusing if you’re not a Londoner.

Fortunately for you, we’ve put together an unbeatable list of Sports Bars, Classic Pubs and everything else to cover your pre-game experience. So, before we get into it, familiarise yourself with the locality of Stamford Bridge below:

So, what are the best pubs near Stamford Bridge Stadium?

Butcher's Hook

Located around a 10 minute walk from the stadium, this one’s for the Chelsea FC fans. The Butcher’s Hook (part of the Greene King chain) is a great option for a pre-match pint (especially if you’re prone to having one too many as it’s not a far walk from the ground!).

While a lot of fans don’t mind a chat with the opposition support, I’d personally advise to stay away from the home pubs in this list. Many of the bouncers on matchday ask to see your ticket and won’t let you in unless you’re a Blues fan.

Broadway Bar & Grill

Don’t worry away fans, I’m not leaving you out – this ones for you. Formerly known as Slug & Lettuce, this is one of the best pubs near Fulham Broadway. They have a great set-up in the bar, with 5 large TV screens displaying Sky & BT Sports – perfect to watch the pre-match buildup!

If you’re looking for food, this is also a great option. I’ve personally tried some of their food off the grill, it’s top-tier (especially if you’re used to away day burger vans).

Frankie's Sports Bar and Diner

Located right next door to Stamford Bridge, this is another option for the home fans. With 16 HD plasma screens, great food and a wide selection of beer on tap, Frankie’s Sports Bar and Diner is always rocking before a Chelsea Match.

However, it does fill up extremely quickly so I’d advise you to head down early if you’re looking for a space! If you’re looking for a bite to eat prior to the game, then this is one of the best restaurants near Stamford Bridge Stadium. I visited around a year ago and had the burger, it was delicious!

The Blackbird

Earl’s Court is one of my favourite areas to visit when attending a Chelsea Football club match. There’s a fantastic selection of pubs and bars in the area. My personal favourite is The Blackbird. Great beer, tasty food and a cracking atmosphere on match days.

Considering it’s London we’re talking about, the prices aren’t too bad – but don’t expect a cheap day out when visiting any London Premier League team! It’s around a 20 minute walk to the ground, or a 10 minute drive.

If you do choose to travel to the match by car, parking is difficult at Chelsea so check out one of our parking guides.

Fox and Pheasant

This charming country pub is hidden away in Fulham. In terms of quality and experience, the Fox and Pheasant can’t be beaten. However, I did find it to be quite expensive in here, especially for food. It’s only a 5-minute walk from the stadium so, overall, it’s a great choice.

Standard beers are moderately priced (in terms of London economics) at around £6 per pint. When I visited here, it was filled with pre-dominantly Chelsea fans so if you’re an away fan, maybe give this one a miss.
