5 Best Amex Stadium Parking Spots for Matchdays in 2024

amex stadium parking

Discover hassle-free Amex Stadium parking options for Premier League matches, whether you’re a Seagulls fan or travelling supporter.

As an avid football away day traveller myself, I know how crucial it is to find convenient and secure parking on matchdays. In this blog post, I’ll share essential information and useful tips to ensure your parking experience at Amex Stadium is smooth, allowing you to fully enjoy the thrilling action on the pitch.

So, before we kick-off (excuse the pun), check out the map below to familiarise yourself with the location of the American Express Community Stadium:

So, where are the best Amex Stadium parking options?

University of Sussex Campus

Located just a 5-10 minute walk from the American Express Stadium, the University of Sussex campus is a popular place for parking (I’ve personally parked here myself).

They recommend parking at the Jubilee Multi-storey car park, which you can find directions too here. The university works closely with the football club which makes the parking system here run pretty smoothly.

The main downside parking here is the price, which is usually £15. The other downside I found was post-match traffic. However, if you don’t mind waiting an hour after the game and checking out the local pubs around the stadium, you’ll dodge all the traffic.

JustPark

I’m sure you’ve all heard of JustPark, but for those of you that haven’t, it’s a seamless online booking system that allows you to secure a car parking spot in advance.

There aren’t usually many spots available close to the ground, due to the location of the stadium, but you can find spaces in Brighton and then make use of the public transport to make your way to the Amex.

From all my years of using JustPark, my top tip would be to book your parking space as early as possible to find the best deals. Spaces on average here will cost you between £10-£20.

Official Brighton & Hove Albion Car Parking

Unlike many Premier League clubs, Brighton are actually fan-centric (from what I know) and offer 2 car parking solutions for travelling fans. These car parks, in my opinion, are probably the best for parking near Amex Stadium if you aren’t working on a tight budget.

Similar to the University Campus, they charge £15 per car (pack your car full of fans and it’s £3 per person – not too bad)! You have to book your space in advance here, which I’d recommend doing as early as possible as they get snapped up quickly. I won’t bore you with the rest of the long details, but follow the link below to book a spot and some extra information.

Park & Ride's

If you’re looking for free parking near Amex Stadium, you’d be lucky to find a street parking spot where you don’t have to pay. There are a few supermarkets but the majority of these are packed out on matchdays.

But, don’t fear if you’re on a budget. Brighton Racecourse & Mill Road Park & Ride are the two sites situated closest to the ground. With over 1000 parking spaces combined priced below £5 for a parking ticket and bus fare, you can see why it’s a popular option. If you’ve purchased your ticket yourself through official means, you can simply show your ticket to a parking steward and you’ll get free entry and travel.

I’ve used these sites many times and never had a problem. The bus takes you directly to the stadium pre and post match. Definitely a great option to consider if you don’t mind adding an extra leg to your journey.

Lewes Station Car Park

Located 4 miles out in Southeram, this is one of my favourite parking near Amex Stadium options (and also less well-known). The railway station has over 200 parking spaces with competitive pricing at just £6 for a full-day (£6 is a bargain nowadays for parking… crazy!).

You can park here, then catch the train/bus to the stadium. Similarly to the park & rides, your match ticket constitutes you for free travel (I just wish other clubs would follow suit!). This is definitely one of the best place to park for Amex Stadium.
