So, where are the best pubs near Molineux Stadium?
Wolves WV1 Bar
Located within the stadium itself, the Wolves WV1 Bar is modern with a freshly refurbished interior. It’s as you would expect from a stadium bar, pretty pricy with an okay selection of food & drink – nothing to write home about!
This bar is primarily for home fans, however, I have attended and managed to get in while being an away supporter. The main positive of this bar is that it’s in the ground itself and the atmosphere is usually pretty good. Overall, a pretty standard bar – nothing special from my experience!
The Bluebrick Wolverhampton
There is a definite shortage of away pubs at the Molineux Stadium with The Bluebrick being the only “designated away pub” by the West Midlands Police. However, The Bluebrick is definitely a sure bet for enjoying a pre-match pint.
Located just a short walk from the railway station, it’s ideal if you are heading to the game via train. Be sure to check out our Molineux Stadium parking guide if you’re headed by car. It’s also only a short 15 minute walk from the stadium.
Overall, I found there to be a great atmosphere here for away fans, and the food was pretty good by my pub grub standards! Be sure to stop here on your pre-match pub crawl!

The Moon Under Water
Despite its fancy name, this choice is your standard Wetherspoons chain pub. However, as far as Spoons pubs go, it’s particularly modern inside with a great vibe to it. Unfortunately, the pub in recent years has only accepted home supporters, with bouncers checking match tickets.
However, if you are a Wanderers supporter, I found the atmosphere here to be great. And as with all Spoons, the drinks are well priced with a decent selection of draught beer. If you are an away supporter and fancy heading here, I have heard that you can still get in here if you arrive early (few hours before kick-off).

Hotshots Snooker Club
Away supporters travelling by coach or train, this ones for you. Located in the small town of Tipton just south of Wolverhampton, this Snooker Club are a small family owned business who welcome all away supporters.
I stopped off here en-route to the stadium for a pre-match pint and I have to say, you’ll struggle to find a pub more welcoming than this. They also have a great selection of drinks for whatever you’re into. With Sky Sports and pool/snooker tables available, there’s plenty to keep you entertained while you discuss your predicted team lineups!

The Great Western
This traditional pub is themed with railway memorabilia, but don’t let that put you off visiting The Great Western on matchday. From my experience here, this pub does welcome both home and away supporters, as long as you behave respectfully.
It’s located around a 20 minute walk from the ground, ideal to walk off a few of those pre-match pints! As far as matchday pubs go, I found the atmosphere to be pretty chilled out – which I liked! Everyone seemed friendly and the food and drink were both above-par. I’d definitely go back.
