So, what are the best Pubs Near Brentford Community Stadium?
The Express Tavern
Less than a 5 minute walk away from the Gtech Community stadium, the Express Tavern is one of the closest pubs to the Brentford stadium. As well as this, it’s only a 10 minute walk from Gunnersbury Station if this is where you will be arriving in Brentford.
Reasonably priced, great drink selection and a classic-pub atmosphere are just a few reasons why I love the Express Tavern. This has been my go-to pub for years for football away days in Brentford.
If you’re looking for a bite to eat before the match, this is one of the best pubs in Brentford for matchday food. The menu offers the usual pub-grub, but to a surprisingly high quality. Make sure to get down early as it does get very busy.

One Over the Ait
Pubs at Kew Bridge don’t get much better than One Over the Ait. Only a short 5 minute walk down Lionel Road to Brentford FC’s ground, this is one of the best pubs in Brentford by the River Thames.
A premium draught beer lineup and locally brewed craft beers makes One Over the Ait the spot for a refreshing pre-match pint. A lifelong Brentford football club fan informed that the atmosphere here is friendly, football-centric and exciting. Away fans are also welcomed here.

The Botanist
Situated across the river and a 10 minute walk away from the ground, The Botanist is a chain bar that you’ve probably seen everywhere you go! It offers Craft Beer & Cask Ales and an impressive menu while also being one of the main pubs for away fans visiting the Premier League Brentford side.
Compared to the other pubs listed, if you’re looking for something slightly more up-market, then the Botanist is for you. I’ve personally been to a few Botanists around the country, and while the price is above average, the food is always good quality and the drinks never disappoint.

The Cricketeers
Since re-opening in August 2020, The Cricketeers is a warm and welcoming pub in Brentford and offers a cosy atmosphere to all (away fans included). The pub has multiple screens displaying Sky and BT Sports, which is a necessity to build some pre-match hype!
From my visits to The Cricketeers, the foods always been delicious and the drinks cold and crisp. Oh, and don’t forget about the pub-dog Rosie – she’s gorgeous! If you’re an away fan looking for a drink and bite to eat, this is the place.
There’s also a nearby car park in the Kew Gardens which is perfect if you want to visit The Cricketeers. Make sure to check out our Brentford FC Parking Guide if you’re travelling by car.

The Greyhound
Overlooking the Kew Gardens, The Greyhound is idyllically placed across the river from the stadium. A mere 10 minute walk is all it will take to reach the Brentford Community Stadium (perfect if you’ve had one too many pre-match pints!).
The outdoor garden is a great place to chat to fellow football fans, discuss tactics and analyse the lineups (and sink a few drinks!). So, if you’re a home or away fan travelling to Brentford, make sure to visit The Greyhound if you’re looking for a place to soak in some pre-match atmosphere.
